DAMNATION DEFACED: Matchless Death Metal – matching music | no more, no less!
2015 will start with an explosion! Damnation Defaced will be releasing their long-awaited second LP “The Infernal Tremor” after their debut “Beyond the Pale” in 2010. The new album excels with its catchiness and focuses on the essentials: epic tunes with the potential of getting stuck in your head for a longer time and shaking you to the core with brute but groovy hooklines.
Topping it all are the richly faceted vocals alternating between deep growls and oldschool death metal shouts. For the first time the band decided to incoporate german text passages into their song “Aeons”, to emphasize H.P. Lovecrafts inspiration, which worked out to be a successful experiment.
The record was recorded and mixed by Kai Reidenbach in the Evolutionstudios, Hambrug and mastered by Kai Schwertfeger and has become a declaration of love to melodic death metal. The epic artwork was once again created by none other then Jonathan Stenger (Cripper/Murky Waters).
Over the last eight years, since the foundation of the band in winter ’06, DAMNATOIN DEFACED are proudly looking back at more than 100 live gigs, whether as support (incl. Vader …) or on festivals. Continuity, self-initiative and the will to go that extra mile is what describes the quintet with their roots in Lower Saxony best. Each release is a step forward, evolving the music the death metal scene loves, thus continuously promoting the name Damnation Defaced!
